The Health Partners Morphett Vale located on the corner of South Road & Flaxmill Road Morphett Vale consisted of the demolition of an existing dilapidated building & development of a 2 story building with an undercroft carpark; ground floor dental suite and operations, optical store and consult rooms, and a base build on the first floor.


There is also external carpark for patients and visitors, including the upgrade of the existing carpark for an adjacent neighbor.


Campbell Plumbing & Maintenance were contracted by Mossop Construction to undertake this extremely well completed award winning project.

Description On Plumbing Installation


Stormwater Systems

  • Supply and installation of a complete stormwater system to manage water run-off from rainfall including down pipes connections to the site below ground stormwater pipework system.


Hydraulic Systems

  • Supply and installation of new sewer drainage to serve the new sanitary fittings and wet areas within the building, connecting to the existing SA Water sewer drainage connection on the perimeter of the South Road, Morphett Vale

  • Supply and installation of a domestic cold water reticulation system to the new hydraulic fixtures and wet areas, extending from the existing cold water main to the property.

  • Supply and installation of two (2x) 315L electric mains pressure hot water units to serve the property.

  • Supply and installation of one (1x) primary hot water circulating pump to the ring main.

  • Supply and installation of one (1x) underbench boiling water unit to serve the Kitchenette.

  • Supply and installation of one (1x) domestic cold water drinking Fountain located within the Reception / Waiting Area.

  • Supply and installation of treated water systems plant to serve the property.

  • Supply and installation of new sanitary fixtures, fittings, appliances taps and outlets.

  • Supply and installation of warm/cold water stop valves to each fixture.

  • Supply and installation of backflow prevention devices to the cold water system.

  • Supply and installation of thermostatic mixing valves to showers and hand basins

Sewer Drainage Systems

The Health Partners Morphett Vale located on the corner of South Road & Flaxmill Road Morphett Vale has been provided with new sewer drainage systems serving the sanitary fixtures. The pipework incorporates tundishes, traps and flexible connections as detailed on the drawings. Sewer pipework passes below the slab.

The sewer drainage pipework serving the main toilets blocks exits the building on the Eastern side of the building. All other sewer drains
exit the building from the Southern side of the building. The sewer drainage
Services passes from the building, below ground to connect to a common pit on the southern boundary of the site.

The sewer drainage pipework discharged into the SA Water existing sewer main connection on the site boundary adjacent to Wheatsheaf Road, Morphett Vale. Complete with reflux valve located within a pre-cast concrete valve chamber with heavy duty cast iron lids.

The sewer system is provided with Inspection Opening for inspection and maintenance.

The installation complies with AS 3500; the National Plumbing and Drainage Code.

Cold Water Systems

The Health Partners Morphett Vale located on the corner of South Road & Flaxmill Road Morphett Vale has been provided with new a cold water reticulation system to serve the sanitary fittings throughout the building and site irrigation

system. New domestic cold water pipework has been extended from the SA Water cold water main in Wheatsheaf Road, Morphett Vale. Complete with backflow protection device and water meter location on the site boundary.

The domestic cond water pipework passes below ground along the southern perimeter of the building, rising within the external wall. An isolation shut-off valve has been provided

to the cold water mains supply to the building, located on the building perimeter. New cold water pipework is reticulated under the ground floor slab and within the first floor

ceiling space, penetrating the slab or dropping within cavities to connect to fittings and fixtures.

The installation complies with AS 3500; the National Plumbing and Drainage Code.

Stormwater System

The Health Partners Morphett Vale located on the corner of South Road & Flaxmill Road Morphett Vale has been provided with a new siphonic stormwater system to manage rainfall water run-off from the building. The siphonic outlets are located in the gutter on the North and South edges of the roof. The downpipes are located on the Eastern side of the building, close to where the hot water plant is sited on the roof.

An siphonic overflow system is installed alongside the siphonic drainage system with the pipework following the same routes. At ground level, both the drainage and overflow exit the building on the Eastern side, with the stormwater drain continuing to the site’s civil drainage system and the overflow terminating at the edge of the building.

The installation complies with AS 3500; the National Plumbing and Drainage Code.

Domestic Hot Water Units

The Health Partners Morphett Vale located on the corner of South Road & Flaxmill Road Morphett Vale has been provided with two (2x) domestic hot

water units and one (1x) circulating pump to serve the new building as follows:

The domestic hot water units and associated pumps are located at ground floor level, complete with safety tray. The hot water units are floor mounted and pumps are wall mounted.

Domestic cold water pipework rises from the lower floor to the roof and connects to the hot water plant. Hot water pipework is circulated via a ring main to all sanitary fixtures within the building. Hot water pipework is reticulated within the ceiling space of the areas served.

Thermostatic mixing valves are provided for all showers and hand basis. Each associated valve set is located with an access panel for ease of access and maintenance.

The installation complies with AS 3500, the National Plumbing and Drainage Code.
